"Our stay in Knoydart was absolutely wonderful thank you. The house is lovely, the neighbours were friendly, and the whole peninsula was just stunning. We walked, hired cycles, took a boat trip and swam quite a lot! I got so absorbed by snorkeling in the bay in front of the house I completely forgot how cold the water is, until I got out and realised I was shivering! We loved having the kayaks, paddling out around dusk one clear and still evening I got within ten feet of an otter in the water by the islet opposite the house.

Even both pairs of teenagers who came with us adored every moment, they didn't even miss the TV but then no-one with half a soul could really want to watch TV when you've only got a week there. I guess it's more welcome if you're living through a winter in Airor.

The house was comfy and cosy, and that last few miles over rough road in the van made it that much more of an adventure. It really was the holiday of a lifetime and was very, very special.

"We had a FANTASTIC week and good weather as well. We had great walks, saw lots of deer and the handyman took us out for a boat ride and two of us saw an otter. We also had one meal out at the yachting restaurant which was lovely. I especially enjoyed the peace and quiet for reading. 
We thought the house was very nice and the kitchen is very well equipped for serious cooks.

We had a really lovely time in Airor - it was wonderful being so near the sea, rather than at the top of a loch as I am used to. The house was wonderfully welcoming - a real home from home, and we had a lot of fun with the kayaks. The skies and views were just astonishing, and a source of constant delight. "We  all had a wonderful holiday, Knoydart is an amazing place. The first night there were 7 deer on the grass in front of the house, we saw lots of seals and when driving back to Inverie we saw a golden eagle. The cottage was great, really cosy and the neighbours really friendly and helpful." Dee

We all really enjoyed it, which is a real feat when on holiday's with 4 children between 12 and 18. We did a variety of things , walking , kayaking, boat trip to tarbet, fishing. We managed with only on small order of shopping on the Wednesday. Found that scenery and sunsets absolutely stunning .We all decided that it was well worth the drive & would like to go back again." "Just a quick note to say huge thank you for our stay at Park House. We absolutely loved it. I had fairly low expectations (wish) re the weather, but we really got lucky.

Lots of seals on the island and saw porpoises from the ferry. No otters as 3 foghorns for children. Ate loads of mussels, and even managed to cook them on the beach for lunch. Lots of picnics which was pretty amazing.

Incredible views all week. Got quite parky once snow arrived on the hill tops, but really stunning! – and we were extremely cosy inside. Lots of walks, hills and coast.

"We had a wonderful time.  The lodge was very cosy and warm and we felt very comfortable and relaxed there.  The weather was good and we had some lovely long walks in Whichford Wood and spotted a white deer (a white heart). Testimonials about Bayacas

Thankyou very much for the rental of the house, we loved both the area and the house itself.  The house was great, everything beautifully decorated.   I particularly loved staying somewehere built in the traditional style, with all the Moorish alcoves and niches - and I love the Andalucian washbasins!!!
We went on a number of shortish walks, including the ridge opposite, into Orgiva, up to Sorpitujar, and from Pampaneira to the picnic place in the gorge.  We also drove to Granada to see the Alhambra - a lovely day out!!
We were both very impressed with the beaches you recommended. 
All the beaches we went to were amazing, couldn't believe how litter free they all were, and how crystal clear the water is. My husband went for a day's guided mountain biking from Bubion, run by an English speaking company called Switchbacks, based in Bubion.  He recommends it for anyone who already has some off road experience.
We have already recommended your house to family and friends, thanks again for helping us have such a lovely stay. Kathrin

"I was going to email and let you know all was lovely at Bayacus!!  It was such a delight to be there for a week and we both loved it!  Thank you!  Your instructions were detailed and everything worked as described!  We felt like "locals" getting fruit from the fruit man and bread man!  The only thing was remembering where your house was but Janet heard us and pointed us the right way!  Hot water, locks, lights and plant watering systems all seemed to be working well (a couple of the plants seemed a bit too watered but we didn't want to tamper with it!).  It was all very easy and relaxing, just what we both wanted.  We didn't want to leave, so may well be asking to rent it again!" Spent a day on the coast at Playa de Cabria. Had lunch in one of the restaurants before going back home for a siesta! Some of us visited the Alhambra and the girls went on an evening pony trek at Caballo Blanco. We visited Orgiva on several occasions either by foot or in the car - mainly to get food supplies etc and we ate at 'Barrackas' twice - we all really liked it there! I am sitting out the back in a walled garden with wireless connection, under lemon trees and Indian sitar music is playing from a hidden speaker in the wall. We have been on adventures to Canar, Granada, and the sea, and every day has been sunny.
we are loving the house, and the area too. We walked up the mountain above Canar, and came across people skinning up to the peaks on skis. We walked  a long way up ourselves, up to a high rock and then skated down the snow patches in our trainers, which was a riot of fun.
I will make contact with the adventure skiers in SNevada and see if i cant do a day of something whilst I am here. Tania

I have been working from Holycombe for about 5 or 6 years now, and have always found it such a wonderfully relaxing environment to work in.  A lovely calm surrounds Holycombe, which really helps with my clients, helping them to relax and enjoy their massage sessions. Holycombe draws such a wide variety of people to its classes and weekend retreats. There is always a lot going on, classes and courses to suit all.

I have also found everyone running Holycombe to be so very helpful, nothing is too much trouble and Sally and her team always reply promptly to emails and phone messages.
